COPE Galway Website
We designed and developed a new website for COPE Galway.
The primary goal for the website was to increase online contributions while also helping to free up human resources so that COPE Galway could provide more help to those on ground level.
The aims and objectives were to:
• increase the conversion of potential contributors to Donors
• cater to the wide range of users with relevant info and CTA’s
• help service users find relevant info and a direct point of contact
• make payment methods easy
• increase sign-up and payments to community catering services
• increase sign-up and payments to cope fundraising events

Our UX Approach
Our main principle for design is empathy for the end-user of our products. To design an effective solution for COPE Galway, we had to find out who the end-users were, and what they really wanted. We held a brainstorming session with the client, where we defined all user types, identified target users and extensively explored user scenarios which aided in the creation of user flows and user journey maps. These highlighted the needs, content, and the method of delivery to inspire the desired action or set outcomes, which were later validated against interactive wireframes and UI prototypes.

Challenges
The scope of the project was wide ranging, with diverse services, users and stakeholders. Interactive prototypes created using Invision helped to communicate the design solution to the client, while also allowing for easy feedback on specific areas.
User journey workshops ensured all user types were identified, which ones were important for the website, and helped in identifying the content needed. External and potential contributors were identified as the primary target audience for the website. This user group included donors, event participants and spectators, fundraisers, customers, volunteers and advocates. The site is therefore largely focused on enticing community involvement, thereby increasing the chances of donations. This is achieved by offering many different ways for different members of the community to get involved through the website, such as through:
During the build, a range of layouts were developed so that COPE administration personnel could easily update and add text, images and pages, while still maintaining design consistency.
