Supermacs App
Supermacs, one of Ireland’s largest food chains wanted to enter the app e-commerce world in 2016. Capitalising on their successful online ordering website, Supermacs asked Armour Interactive for help in the design and development of the apps. The apps today are now responsible for over 25% of all Supermac’s orders.

Needs Analysis
The Needs Analysis for the Supermacs online ordering app included stakeholder interviews, wire-framing and usability testing. Armour kicked off the project by interviewing the Supermac’s digital team to gain their insights and knowledge.

The Brief
We wanted to give Supermac’s customers a frictionless experience that guides them through the entire ordering process, from finding their nearest Supermac’s store all the way to confirmation of their order.

The UX approach
Based on this knowledge, Armour developed low fidelity wireframes for the app. These wireframes went through several iterations until the final design was assembled and a prototype was made. Armour tested this prototype with several typical users and refined the design based on their feedback.

The solution
We put the users at the heart of the system. We put a lot of effort into making the ordering process as streamlined and as simple as possible. The app allows Supermac’s customers to mix and match their orders between the Supermac’s menu, Papa John’s menu and meal deals. The Supermacs website and App also meets the business needs and have been developed to allow the integration of data into their existing till systems thereby providing the tools for management to monitor performances, establish monthly reporting and proactively manage digital performances.
