Armour Interactive takes Galway Enterprise Award for 2020

City-based web design firm Armour Interactive has been announced as the winner of the Galway Enterprise Award for 2020.

The annual award aims to recognise the achievements of Galway businesses who embrace the highest standards of excellence in fields including growth and development, innovation, client engagement and future focus.

Armour Interactive – based at Ballybrit Business Park – took the prestigious title at a high-level business seminar hosted by Local Enterprise Office Galway at the Mick Lally Theatre.

The firm is now set to represent LEO Galway at the 22nd National Enterprise Awards Finals in Dublin in May.

They’ll compete against 30 other finalists from every local authority area nationwide for a share of a €40 thousand prize fund – as well as the opportunity to be crowned the overall National Enterprise Award winners.

Since 2010, Armour Interactive has won multiple industry awards for its work in the fields of web development & design, digital marketing, mobile apps and eCommerce.

It currently employs 12 people and works with multinational corporations including Intel, Medtronic, McKesson, Supermacs, eMovis and ComfortDelGro.

Speaking after Armour Interactive secured the Galway Enterprise Award for 2020, Andrew Dewdney from Armour Interactive said they were honoured to be recognised:

“We are delighted to have been selected as the LEO Galway Winner in the National Enterprise Awards.  We have been working together with LEO Galway to transform our business in line with our vision to be Ireland’s Leading Digital Agency”

Speaking at the awards ceremony, Head of Enterprise at Local Enterprise Office Galway, Breda Fox, said the achievements of Armour Interactive are indicative of the level of talent in every corner of the county:

“Small businesses are the backbone of our economy and for the past two decades, the National Enterprise Awards have celebrated homegrown success stories and highlighted their achievements on the national stage. We’re delighted now that we’re going to be represented by Armour Interactive at the national awards in May. Judges were particularly impressed with their focus on sustainable growth and development, positive work culture, customer friendly engagement and strong, effective brand image. They’re a local success here in Galway and we’re confident they have what it takes to continue their incredible success story on the National Enterprise Awards stage and beyond.”

Armour Interactive has also engaged with the Lean for Micro Programme through Local Enterprise Office Galway – and attributes a massive boost in productivity and growth to the initiative.

Judging in the National Enterprise Awards will get underway in April, with the awards ceremony to take place at the Mansion House in Dublin on Thursday May 28th.

Categories this year include ‘Best Export Business’, ‘Future Focus’ and ‘Innovation’, while eight finalists from across the country will receive runner-up awards.
