Graphical User Interface (GUI) Design Experts
GUI Design is a subset specialism of User Interface design. GUI design projects typically involve the design of human-machine interfaces or HMI’s, but can also be data visualisation tasks, or POC Demos. Armour’s GUI Designers have been involved in an array of projects. We have created data visualisations of manufacturing systems with realtime data display, and designed point-of-sale touch screen kiosks. We have designed In-cab truck driver communication and workflow tools. We have also been involved in the production of real-time data displays of Internet Service Providers (ISP). Typically, GUI projects require the design team to work with developers, electrical engineers, information architects and product designers. We can create a GUI that is a stand-alone product that lives in isolation, or that can communicate with your systems.
Legacy Web & Mobile Applications
We have found from experience, that many businesses are relying on legacy products that have been designed and developed by Software Developers or Engineers. These products may have fulfilled the Business Need at some stage, but have never been in line with your business User Needs or Design Needs. Simply put, they just don’t reflect your business and are possibly doing harm to your business. Having a poorly designed UX/UI only leads to user frustration, brand damage and loss of business. We have found that companies are having to create user manuals to support their Software, Web or Mobile Applications. Armour’s design team can assist your business by designing a system that works for both your business and your users. We can analyse your existing platform, document it, UX test it and design a new improved User Experience along with a new User Interface. We can either hand these over to your own development team to implement if desired, or we can build the front end in tandem with your team. Or we can take the whole project over if so desired.

Armour has experience in providing user-friendly and clear design solutions to complex data structures. Designing clear and easy to understand visual solutions to showcase real-world data problems is a key skill-set of our design team. With our technical experience in other areas, we can draw synergies to allow design lead thinking to provide a solution to what others consider a complex challenge. Having worked in a vast array of different sectors and solving user experience problems we can conduct Design Workshops to define the problem and work through a design solution. Our development team can also work with your Tech Teams to create these screens, components or widgets that can be used within your own technical environment or platforms.
