Research & Planning for Creating better Products

Armour uses the Design-Led approach for all our projects. We put user needs and business goals at the centre of every design brief. Research and Planning is the key to understanding and defining a project.

Needs Analysis

The first part of any project is the Needs Analysis stage. We typically conduct a workshop between the key stakeholders within the clients business and the assigned Armour project team. It involves an open discussion about the business, the business goals, typical users, expectations, current solutions and the scope of work. From this introductory meeting, all parties have a clear understanding of the project, assigned roles and the next steps.

Research & Planning

During the Research & Planning phase, Armour takes the knowledge and information gathered from the Needs Analysis and conducts detailed research into the project. We interview users to produce User Personas, User Flows, User Journey Maps, and create Low-Fidelity Wireframes to define the scope of the Project. The development team designs a suitable system architecture for the proposed system and define the deliverables in a detailed Software Requirement Specification. A product road map will also be created during this phase.

Usability Studies

If you have an existing digital product, website or application, Armour can conduct research to identify usability issues experienced by your customers. Once common problems have been identified, Armour can create a design solution that works for the user. User flows can be optimised to increase sales or ease user frustration. Our goal is to make your users happy customers.

Prototyping

If you have a business idea for a digital product, or need to produce a showcase, Armour can create an interactive prototype to demonstrate the product by means of a Proof of Concept (PoC) App. We can create PoC prototypes that can be deployable to iOS & Android devices. These products are typically used for raising capital from Investors, testing ideas, and fail fast DevOps.
